This was a purpose-built, dedicated drag strip built in Milton, Vermont by Bud McCormick and Maurice Bousqet. Sanctioned by NASCAR, the first race was held on June 30, 1963. On September 12, 1965, the track held a Money Bonanza Day event with a cash purse of over $2,000. Bud McCormick, a track official, expected over 250 cars at the event. They had seven eliminator classes.
Brian Lohnes has done about as much research as anyone on the strip and attests that Shirley Muldowney raced stock cars here, but not her dragster in her early career. She raced a '65 Corvette there in April-May 1965. Jack Muldowney won top eliminator in his B Dragster on June 7, 1964. Jack Dubrul II was a frequent winner at the strip in his dragster. More research is needed.
